What happens at a treatment?

At the first visit a thorough case history will be taken along with a detailed physical examination, including Blood Pressure, Pulse and assessment of the nervous system, and general alignment. This enables Karen to give a working diagnosis and recommend a treatment plan.

Most people find 2-6 sessions is sufficient to address straightforward problems. But this can depend on factors such as your age, how long you have had the problem, stress and posture.

Once you are up and running you can choose to have regular check ups to keep chronic problems under control, or simply have treatment whenever you decide.

How can I expect to feel after a treatment?

As the body reacts to chiropractic care most patients feel physical changes as the body realigns, these can include a short period of feeling stiff, tired or a feeling of wellbeing and relief from stress. Karen will give you advice on how to look after yourself after treatment, and where appropriate lifestyle changes to help you get the most from your chiropractic care.
